Having the right equipment makes litter picking safe, easy, and rewarding. Whether you are a regular volunteer or just starting out, we can help you get the basic kit you need.
- Litter picker: Saves your back and keeps your hands away from the waste.
- Gloves: Protective, puncture-resistant gloves are a must.
- Hi-vis vest: Keeps you visible and safe when working near roads.
- Sturdy shoes: Always wear closed-toe, durable footwear for uneven ground.

West Lothian Litter Pickers provides equipment for community use. You can request kit by contacting us through our Facebook page or joining a community pick. We have collection points across the county where you can pick up your gear and get started right away.
Looking after your gear: Please give your litter picker a quick wipe if it gets muddy and keep your gloves clean. If any equipment is damaged, let us know so we can replace it.
